Geri Horner posts throwback to Spice Girls’ FIRST EVER photo shoot (which she ‘had to drag them to’)

They’re gearing up for their big comeback next summer.

And in a throwback snap, Geri Horner posted a shot of the Spice Girls on Thursday from the band’s first ever photo shoot.

The black and white image sees her, alongside Mel C, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham and Mel B, as they pout and glance sultrily off-camera.

Looking very fresh-faced, the girls look reminiscent of the first time they burst onto the music scene in 1996.

Victoria – who is sadly not taking part in their 2019 Spice World reunion – flaunts her trademark bob and very thin, rectangular eyebrows – a look that would soon win her the role of Posh Spice.

Baby Spice Emma isn’t the only ‘baby’ in the group, as they all showcase their youth, aged between 20 and 24 at the time.

Geri sports bunched pigtails – a look Emma would soon adopt – and Mel C showcases a braided ‘do.

Big plans: Mel B has reportedly confirmed that the Spice Girls are ‘in talks’ to land a headlining slot at Glastonbury Festival 2019, following wide-spread speculation

Geri captioned the snap: ‘Come on girls let’s do a photo shoot. This was our first ever photo shoot. I dragged the girls to this kookie photographer I knew. #eyestotheright #tbt.’

This comes after it was teased by Mel B that the band are ‘in talks’ to land a headlining slot at Glastonbury Festival 2019, following wide-spread speculation.

Scary Spice dropped further hints that the band could make an appearance on the Pyramid Stage next year, as she revealed to Jessie Ware’s podcast Table Manners, they are currently in conversation with Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis.

She told fellow singer Jessie: ‘Glastonbury. It’s been talked about.’

Although, Mel couldn’t resist pointing out that the Spice Girls pop background isn’t to the usual tastes of the annual festival, as she added: ‘But we’re so pop and it’s so cool… that’ll be funny to me.’

She pointed out that if the girls do get to headline Glastonbury, it would be for Mel C, as she claimed: ‘I think Mel C would really appreciate us doing that – she’s the cool one. She’s the cool Indie chick.’

Glastonbury officials are yet to confirm whether the Spice Girls will appear, but the festival has seen an array of artists perform during its coveted legend spot, held on the final day on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm.

Over the years, it has seen the likes of musical icons Tom Jones, Dolly Parton, Shirley Bassey, Lionel Richie and Neil Diamond take to the stage to delight festival-goers.

Spice Girls may not be the first band that comes to mind when you think of Glastonbury, but some would argue that the girls’ monumental success over the years could make them eligible for such a performance – with their hits likely to bring a real feel-good factor to Glastonbury.

Mel B’s hints that the girls could storm the stage at Glasto next year come after festival founder Michael teased 2019’s headliners will be ‘two or three acts that have never played before’ at the three-day extravaganza.

One of the headliners for next year’s festival has already been named, with Stormzy confirming his headlining slot at Glastonbury in November.

The Spice Girls will hit the road in May next year – conveniently coming to a close on 15 June at London’s Wembley Stadium just two weeks before Glastonbury takes place at the end of June.

Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner will come together as a four-piece next year – originally announcing a six-date tour before bumping it up to 13 due to ‘phenomenal fan demand’.

Victoria Beckham has chosen not to reunite with the girls, choosing to focus on her fashion business instead, but has said she will ‘definitely’ go and see the girls in action at their show.

In an interview with Extra at the People’s Choice Awards last month, Victoria insisted she will ‘absolutely’ be watching, as she explained: ‘I have so much going on with my business and my family. I think the girls are going to do a great job! I’m really excited for them, they have great plans.’

Asked if she will be going to see the show, Victoria replied: ‘Absolutely! I am very, very excited for them.’

The Spice Girls shot to fame in the early ’90s and found themselves at the top of the charts in 37 countries with their debut single Wannabe, released in 1996.

The band split in 2000, two years after Geri announced her departure from the band.

They later reunited in 2007, delighting fans with their The Return Of The Spice Girls world tour, before performing at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

Following that show-stopping performance, speculation had been rife that the girls would re-form once more, with rumours reaching fever pitch in 2016 – as it marked 20 years since the release of the girls’ first single.
