Cheryl, 35, reveals ex Liam Payne, 25, is ‘a great dad and not at all strict’ with son Bear, 2, as she hints HE broke up with her but she’s ‘OK with it’
They announced their split in 2015 after an almost three year relationship.
But things are clearly still amicable between Cheryl and Liam Payne as she credits him with being a good dad to their son Bear, two.
Talking to The Telegraph’s Stella magazine she shared: ‘She said: ‘Liam is a great dad. He’s much softer than me. I’m the strict one; Liam isn’t. I’ll be the one saying, “Just one square of chocolate,” but Bear is so good.

‘If I get cross with him he puts his little hands on my face and looks into my eyes to see if I’m deadly serious or a tiny bit cross, and it melts my heart.’
Cheryl admitted that Liam had work commitments so was away a lot during Bear’s first four months but had nothing but lovely words to say about him.
And asked why she ended her relationship with the former One Direction star, she said: ‘Who said it was me?’ hinting that Liam had finished things.
All over now: Asked why she ended her relationship with the former One Direction star, she said: ‘Who said it was me?’ hinting that Liam had finished things
But she said: ‘It it what it is, and I’m okay about it. When you have a baby, you are not consumed with just thinking about yourself. It’s your responsibility to keep things settled and happy, so you make the best of everything. And we have.’
Cheryl has also said that love is not something she is thinking about right now and said she would like to have more children, even if she does not have a partner.
Liam’s latest appearance comes after supermodel Naomi, 48, reportedly ended her brief, four month romance with the singer.
A source told The Mirror: ‘Liam and Naomi had a lot of fun together, they got on well and had a laugh. But it just wasn’t meant to be.
‘They are going to stay friends – there are no hard feelings with either of them.’
Meanwhile another source told The Sun: ‘Naomi has taken the decision to let things fizzle out. She’s just not into Liam any more and has cast him aside. Quite simply she got a bit bored.
‘He was always the more keen, slightly needy one and, as far as she was concerned, they were never officially an item anyway. It’s always been very casual.’
Speculation of a blossoming romance between the two began when they celebrated the New Year together in Ghana
